Our Story

With over 15 years of professional experience in Asia, we know the Asian recruitment industry pretty well. Over the years, we've worn the 'hat' of internal recruiter, external vendor, hiring manager and candidate. In all of these capacities, it quickly became clear to us that Asian businesses not only lacked a system to manage the recruiting process, but had no way of measuring the performance of their candidate sources. The recruiting industry in Asia is in most cases reminiscent of the recruitment industry in the early 1990’s in the UK and US - fragmented offerings, high fees and seldom delivering consistent results for their clients. As the market in Asia matures, so will corporations desire for intelligent / intuative systems that are able to measure and improve their companies recruitment processes and deliver better value from their recruitment spend.

History

In 2007, SaaS  appplicant tracking software products were in their infancy in the US and Europe. There were few viable applicant tracking software options available. Those that did exist were expensive and complicated to implement. More importantly, the applicant tracking software market had been created exclusively for the Western market. Typically, when an ATS was introduced to an Asian business, it was ignored by line managers and HR staff. Even with purported Asian-character capabilities, their complicated interface and awkward processes led to a poor user experience and dismal adoption rate. The end result: dissatisfied line managers and candidates, ineffective internal recruiting, poor hiring recruitment ROI.
